You must have theory to support your decision.
Stage III (Final Project, due Week 7)
At this point of the project, you have identified the problem and a technology solution for the business. Now you want the business accept the idea.
Using your text, the previous stages completed with feedback provided, and the business plan template (see Doc Sharing), write a business plan to give to your customer, which details the risks, assumptions, impact, etc., of the proposed implementation of the HRIS.
This stage of the project should be a professional document that you would present to a customer leadership team to accept your business plan.
See Business Plan Template in Doc Sharing for detail re each section required.
Do not copy and paste Stage I and Stage II information into this Final Course Project. Stages I and II are considered raw data. You are now finalizing and summarizing. You are applying critical thinking skills to the data you've collected.

Experience: Business Analyst
Hey Tonee,
Thanks I have it, and it looks great! There should be no issues but if so I will let you know.
Thanks and as always; YOU ARE A BLESSING!
btw, stage 2 is not due for another 2 weeks.
Hey Tonee, I am still here; just trying to keep this open...Have a great day!
Hey Tonee! How are you doing? I am going to go ahead and accept now, but I know that I can trust you. See ya next weekend! Take Care!!!!!;-)
This is something totally different! Do you have the time to do an essay for each of the following questions and I will add the additional funds here as a bonus. Needed by midnight Sunday......Please forgive me for asking so late, but this spreadsheet analysis is kicking my booty.
What arguments are being raised by the Grocery Manufacturers of America (GMA) as it relates to healthy eating and obesity? There are specific things that you must address that the GMA organization brings up as it relates to healthy eating and obesity. The botXXXXX XXXXXne is: What are they talking about in the news release?
List and discuss the contributors of the obesity epidemic. There are two specific things that contribute to weight gain and you need to touch on both of these elements to earn cull credit for the assignment.
Answer the question, "Is the GMA taking responsibility as contributors to the obesity epidemic? Explain your answer.
Is the GMA recommending the restriction of access to unhealthy foods as an answer to the obesity problem?
After reading this article, do you believe that it is the industry's fault (not GMA but the food manufacturer's responsibility) or should the burden of responsibility fall to the consumer who is actually making the food choices?
Is it really a crime to offer variety and to allow the consumer to make a knowledgeable choice? You must provide more than just a general statement about variety and why it is a good thing if you would like to earn full credit. Please explain if variety affects people's choices and prevents them from making healthy ones.
By analyzing the positive and negative repercussions of this particular release, present your opinion as to whether the action is a step forward or a step backward in the battle against obesity. YOU MUST STATE WHETHER OR NOT THE NEWS RELEASE IS A STEP FORWARD OR BACKWARD IN THE OBESITY EPIDEMIC TO EARN FULL CREDIT.
Soory my post was closed, but I hope that you seen it?

I hope that you get the bonus? Thanks for everything and I hope to see you after the holidays. Enjoy and be blessed.
Teddy
Did you get the bonus? Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!
Hi Teddy, Merry Christmas! Been working on a project.
Thanks for Bonus :o)
tonee
Hi Tonee Happy New Years!
I just posted an assignment thats due by midnight this Sunday. There are two of these types of Essays and both are due by Sunday at midnight. I will post the subject area for the second one this coming Sunday before midnight.
I also have a research paper that will be due in seven weeks, but heres the breakdown for the research paper:
Research Paper: Outline in 4 weeks -29 January
Research Paper: Annotated Bibliography in 5 weeks -5 February
Research Paper: First Draft in 6 weeks-12 February
Final Research Paper in 7 weeks-19 February
Here are the guidelines for the research paper:
Please review the following information. Your final research paper is not due until Week 8, but you should start thinking about topics now.
Your research paper will be about 2500 words, approximately 10 pages. You may choose your own topic, and please ask your teacher for guidance as far as what topics may be appropriate for this paper. Some choices work better than others. The APA (American Psychological Association) is the style required for the cover page, citations, paraphrasing and your references page.
You will begin writing the research paper in Week 4 (when you will write the outline); however, you should push yourself to conduct research in your chosen area from the beginning of the course.
Choosing Your Topic
Select a topic of your choice for this paper. You can write about the same topic or you can write about a variety of topics in each of the short papers assigned in Week 2 and Week 3. If you choose to write about the same topic area for all three papers, you may incorporate those papers into your final research paper. However, it is challenging and interesting to write on a variety of topics. One idea is to save the topic you are most interested in learning about for your final paper.
The Research Paper Deadlines
The first three pages of your paper will be due to your teacher at the end of Week 6. Your completed rough draft will be due at the beginning of Week 7 for peer review in class. This is a graded activity. Complete the final draft of the research paper and post it in the Dropbox by 11:59 p.m. (MT) on Thursday, Week 8 (250 points).
More Research Paper Information:
Make sure you understand in-text citations.
Example of Internet source in-text with author: "I like cats" (Smith, 2004, p. 38).
Example of Internet source in-text without author: "I like cats" (Cats are the best). If you are using a book or article, you would include the date of publication and the page number. Example: "I like cats" (Smith, 2004, p. 34). If there is no author, then use title, date of publication, and page number.
The list of references in your text is titled References (no quotation marks, no bold, no italics) and is centered on the top of its own page at the end of the paper.
Helpful Research Paper Info:
APA Guidelines for Citing SourcesThe APA Publication Manual, 6th Edition, is available at any bookstore or library. Since APA is used in ALL DeVry courses, you should be familiar with this style. Check DocSharing for documents that will help you better understand APA style. Also, you can examine the APA section of Chapter 12 to see examples of APA style citations. Finally, you can find tutorials and information regarding the use of APA in the Writing Resources section linked from the Student Resources page. Research Paper Specifics:

What is up?
My wife has a paper posted; its titled please help, and its a problem solution essay, her user id is kathleen.davis 1.
i cant find it is it under homework? I cant access stuff under writing or other subjects...
Here it is Tonee!
Problem-Solution Essay Assignment ? Explain, define, and support a problem that affects a large group of people. ? In a debatable thesis claim, propose a specific solution to the problem. ? The intended audience is the group who can implement the suggested solution. ? Persuade your audience to implement the proposed solution by explaining your reasoning and your specific, documented evidence from research. ? Explain at least one other reasonable solution and give reasons why the debatable thesis claim solution is more efficient and effective than other solutions. 1. Open with an attention grabbing episode-a short narrative or story that illustrates the problem/solution thesis. (Brief) 2. Clearly state and define the problem. Provide some evidence that the problem exists. (Perhaps 10%-20% of the essay.) 3. Make the THESIS and CLAIM clear in the essay introduction by clearly stating the preferred solution and the main REASONS in the essay WHY the solution is preferred. Also, the introduction should include an essay map. This is a part of the introduction that provides a brief overview of the rest of the essay including a brief statement of any alternate claims that will be discussed. (Brief) 4. Explain at least one opposing alternate solution that is widely supported. Explain them in such a way that the reader knows you understand other solutions-other points of view. That is, be reasonable and courteous. Use REASONS and EVIDENCE. (Perhaps 10%-20% of the essay.) 5. Explain your proposed solution in a convincing, academic argument that draws on documented research sources to provide evidence in support of the solution. Organize your argument by REASONS WHY. Use EVIDENCE. Your argument-your convincing reasoning-is the key to a fine essay. Be knowledgeable. Provide persuasive amounts of supporting evidence gleaned from verifiable research sources. (At least 50% of the essay.) 6. Close your essay with some statement of the significance of the claim and major points for the reader. What is the point that the reader should remember?

Research Requirements--The essay must:

? Use at least eight -8- documented sources. (Dictionaries and Wikipedia can be used, but can't be counted as part of the 8 sources.)

? Use three scholarly articles from the Academic Search Complete database

? Use two popular (not scholarly) sources from the Academic Search Complete databases in

These requirements mean that five of the eight required sources must come from the Academic Search Complete database. If this is a problem for your topic, let me know and we might develop a compromise. Without an extended conversation with me and permission from me, your professor, this will rule will apply. Not having at least five sources documented in the Academic Search Complete database will greatly reduce the final grade and might cause the essay to have a failing grade.

? All eight of the articles can come from Academic Search Complete, if you wish.

? Substantial use of research sources is required. Minor points and/or one quotation are NOT substantial uses. Instead, a thorough discussion of at least one major point is needed.

Using and Evaluating Sources-Finding Reliable, Credible Information:

Your task is to evaluate all sources to make sure you are providing credible information instead of unreliable or false information. If you use unreliable information in your essay, it degrades your argument and discredits your knowledge-it is not persuasive and, thus, lowers your grade.

Search engines, such as Google, give you links to both reliable and unreliable sources. Information on evaluating Web sources to decide whether or not the sources are reliable is on pp. 226-34 in A Writer's Resource-A Handbook.

1. Audience and Purpose:

The audience must be a specific group or person that can implement the solution you are suggesting. The purpose of the essay is to convince this specific group or person that your proposed solution is the best solution of many possible solutions. The reasoning in the essay must be appropriate for this Intended Audience.

On the bottom half of your title page, write a 50 word description of the Intended Audience and what their interests and needs are that will be addressed in the essay. (See pp. 46-7 in Research and Writing textbook.)

2. The Title Page:

3. Introduction:

Interest the Intended Audience by giving some context for the problem and solution that connects with the reader's knowledge and responsibilities.

Make the debatable thesis claim clear in the essay introduction by clearly stating a debatable solution.

Include an essay map which is a few sentences that serve as a map of the content of the essay. This is a part of the introduction that provides a brief overview of the rest of the essay including a brief statement of the main REASONS in the essay WHY the solution is preferred AND any alternate claims that will be discussed.

4. Define the Problem: Early in the essay, the writer must define the problem and provide evidence that it is a problem. The essay must state a clear problem that reasonable, learned people would agree is a problem. This can only be 10% of the essay.

5. Debatable Claim: The essay must propose one solution to the problem as the thesis claim. The claim that this solution is the best solution must be a debatable claim.

A claim is debatable when the writer can provide REASONS WHY and supporting EVIDENCE from documented sources that the point of view in the claim is the most effective and efficient solution.

A claim is debatable when it is possible for reasonable, knowledgeable people to provide supporting EVIDENCE using documented sources to argue that the thesis solution in the debatable claim is not the most effective and efficient solution while another solution is the most effective and efficient one.

6. Opposing Viewpoints: One essential element of proving your proposed solution is the best possible one is to explain alternate solutions and courteously explain why your proposed solution is superior or more effective. Unless you demonstrate an understanding of all solutions, your argument is not very persuasive. Think about a teenager trying to persuade her parents to let her drive the family car to her job-she will have to explain why other possible solutions, such as walking or riding a bicycle, are not as good a solution as driving the car. This can only be about 20% of the essay.

7. Reasons and Evidence: Provides strong explanations of your reasoning about why your proposed solution is superior or more effective. This must be at least 50% of the essay.

This argument must be organized by the REASONS WHY the thesis solution is the most effective one.

Your REASONS WHY must be explained and supported by specific, documented discussions of factual material from research sources that support your reasoning.

Few direct quotations should be used. Any direct quotations should be short. Each quotation must be enclosed in parenthesis and accurately documented by APA citations.

Instead of long quotations or multiple quotations, use summaries and paraphrases of information with in-text citations.

The sources must be used extensively through paraphrase and summary and in-text citations to provide researched support for your debatable claim and your reasoning.

The essay must make substantial use of the sources or the essay grade is greatly reduced or is a failing grade.

Accurate APA in-text citations must be provided for all specific information from research sources.

8. See Keys for Writers pp. 119-20 for information on scholarly sources.

Two of the substantial sources that are not scholarly sources must also come from the Academic Search Complete database.

Because Wikipedia, encyclopedia articles, and dictionaries are not substantial sources for academics, they can not count as part of the eight research sources. You may use more than eight sources, which means you can use Wikipedia, encyclopedia articles, and dictionaries sparingly in addition to your eight substantial sources.

Sources must be current: The essay is not persuasive if the information is out-of-date; thus, the grade is reduced. Much information from research is regularly displaced by more current information. For instance, changes in the population will change most statistics and spending patterns, which changes many of the things that are being discussed in some essays. Usually current means sources from the last two years-depending on the kind of information it might extend back to four years. If you want to use a source that is more than two years old, you need to send the professor an email explaining why the source is still credible. I will let you know if it is still a credible source.

Paraphrase or summary: Information from research is integrated into the writer's essay by paraphrasing or summarizing the source. The information is written in the writer's own words, without any kind of plagiarism. Inaccurate summaries and paraphrases reduce the essay's grade.

Quotations are to be used only when the words are powerfully irreplaceable. Avoid long quotations-you are writing the essay without using big chunks of other people's sentences. Any quotations must be well-integrated and accurately punctuated.

If your essay isn't long enough, find and use another source. Don't use material that is vague or repetitive or irrelevant. Not meeting the length requirement reduces the grade.

Format: APA, 10 pages and no less than 2100 words, does not include title page & reference

Problem-Solution Persuasive Essay using Multiple Sources
Due in DropBox, Journal, and at Turnitin.com by 11:59 pm, March 05, 2011
Organizing your Problem-Solution Essay:
All the writing you have already done for this course has helped you learn the use of the persuasive pattern of CLAIM, REASONS, and EVIDENCE. This essay uses that pattern. Here are some suggestions for organizing your essay with that pattern:
1. Open with an attention grabbing episode-a short narrative or story that illustrates the problem/solution thesis. (Brief)
2. Clearly state and define the problem. Provide some evidence that the problem exists. (Perhaps 10%-20% of the essay.)
3. (Brief)
4. Explain at least one opposing alternate solution that is widely supported. Explain them in such a way that the reader knows you understand other solutions-other points of view. That is, be reasonable and courteous. Use REASONS and EVIDENCE. (Perhaps 10%-20% of the essay.)
5. (At least 50% of the essay.)
? Use three scholarly articles from the Academic Search Complete database in the Strayer online Learning Resource Center (LRC).
? Use two popular (not scholarly) sources from the Academic Search Complete databases in the Strayer online Learning Resource Center (LRC).
2. Academic Essays in APA format-Guidelines and Samples.
The Turnitin Originality Report: This gives a percentage of the portion of your essay that duplicates other texts. This number includes the duplication involved in your accurate citations and References list. If it is more than 15%, then the essay contains too many of other people's words-it is not your essay and not your reasoning. You will have to reduce the number of quotations and paraphrase or summarize almost all the material from duplicated sources. If the Originality Report score is too high, the essay grade is reduced.
Plagiarism: If the duplicated sources involve plagiarism, the essay grade will either be greatly reduced or will be a zero, depending on the kind of plagiarism.
8. Eight Research Sources Total Including Three Scholarly Sources
Learning to use Academic Search Complete is one of the Learning Outcomes and Requirements of this course, so the essay must make substantial use of at least eight substantial research sources.
9. APA Documentation Required
11. The Abstract
12. The Conclusion of the entire essay:
13. Length and Format Requirements:
If your essay isn't long enough, find and use another source. Don't use material that is vague or repetitive or irrelevant. Not meeting the length requirement reduces the grade.
14. Document File Type- .RTF file : The document must be a Rich Text File with an .rtf extension. Use the "Save as Type" dialogue box to find and use the .rtf format in your word processing program. (The "Save as Type" box is near the very bottom of the "Save As" dialogue box.) If the essay is not saved in the .rtf format, it is not interchangeable between different word processing programs.
15. Editing: This must be a polished, formal essay. Be sure to do a final spell check to make sure you have NO spelling errors. However, this is not enough. You must find and correct grammatical errors by reading your essay aloud, slowly. The essay should be well-edited and as free as possible of errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Use clear sentences to help the reader understand. Place in-text citations and short quotations in sentences accurately and clearly.
16. Clear Sentences and Style: Generally, the sentences foster reader comprehension by using active verbs combined with subjects that come early in the sentence. The vocabulary, tone, and format should be appropriate to the audience and purpose. The sentences should flow smoothly using effective transitions. There should be variety in sentence pattern.
17. Paragraphing: Be sure the paragraphing and indentation help the reader to see how the essay is organized. Each paragraph should be a separate topic-when the paragraph changes the reader knows the topic is changing. Provide some transitions that help the reader move from paragraph to paragraph.

Thanks Tonee, you are truly a LIFE SAVER. Take care and I will see you soon!
Hello Tonee, I need help with the below assignment. It is not due for three weeks. If you can commit let me know and I will post it asap.
Historical Essay #1: Confederation and Constitution
As depression struck the new nation in the mid-1780s, new questions arose about the nature of American democracy. Many conservatives believed that the answer lay in a stronger national government. Most radicals believed it was up to the states to relieve the financial burden of the people. These sentiments fostered a movement for a new constitution. Political differences soon stimulated the creation of political parties. Compare and contrast the Articles of Confederation with the new Constitution of 1787. What were the strengths and weaknesses of the Articles vis-à-vis the Constitution? Give specific instances that demonstrate the weakness of the Articles (such as the Western problem). Then analyze the drafting of the Constitution, using specific details to show how the various states (slave vs. free, east vs. west) compromised in order to effectively draft a constitution. Pay particular attention to Roger Sherman's plan, the Great Compromise, which broke a stalemate that could have been fatal to the development of the new Constitution. Finally, compare and contrast the debate over ratification between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. Make sure you cite specific examples from the Federalist Papers to support the Federalist position and contrast it with leading proponents of the opposition (such as XXXX XXXcock). Analyze how the debate over a bill of rights illustrates the differences between the two parties. Evaluate the relative success of the Bill of Rights in achieving an effective balance between national and states' interests. This paper must be four to five double-spaced pages in length (not including the References page) and utilize no less than four academic quality sources. Margins should be no more than one inch (right and left) and the essay should be composed in an appropriate font and size. Sources must be documented and cited using APA format.
